CAPE CORAL, Fla.,-Caught on camera! Cape Coral are looking for the man who broke into Bill Smith Electronics and stole a 60 inch t.v. We're told the suspect got inside during the early morning hours of December 29th, by smashing a car into the front of the store.

Surveillance video is key evidence that might lead to a break in the case of two smash and grabs.

"We are hoping somebody driving to work that early in the morning might have saw somebody carrying out the t.v. and thought, 'Wow! that's kind of odd to be carrying a t.v. at 5:30 in the morning," said Sgt. Dana Coston.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, a man broke into Bill Smith's Electronics at around 5:30 in the morning on December 29th. He stole a 60 inch t.v. worth $2,600.

"They ran inside, grabbed the t.v., ran outside, went back rifled through some of the video cabinets and took off," said Bill Smith Vice President, Bill Weaver.

Police think he could be linked to another crime. A 32 inch t.v. was stolen from Village Square Car Center.

"Given the proximity of time and location and similarities between both "smash and grabs," we have a pretty good likelyhood we are dealing with the same suspect in both smash and grab burglaries."

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers or the Cape Coral Police Department.
