FORT MYERS, Fla. - Southwest Florida is gearing up for the largest night parade in the Southeast.

The Grande Parade is a two-hour extravaganza featuring national participants & local marching bands, floats, local government and law enforcement officials, and clowns.

This year, it takes place Saturday, February 15, starting at 7 p.m. at Fort Myers High's Edison Stadium, winding its way through the Fort Myers River District Downtown.

The parade is a celebration of the life and achievements of our local winter resident, Thomas Edison. It's free for spectators, but local non-profit groups sell reserved seats, and VIP tickets are sold in the Edison Festival of Light office (which include food and beverages). For more information visit the Festival of Light website.
