LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Lee County Sheriff's deputies are searching for the man who robbed the Pilot Truck Stop in Fort Myers early this morning.

LCSO dispatch received a phone call just before 12:30 a.m. in reference to a just-occurred armed robbery at the Pilot Store, located at 6050 Plaza Drive. Deputies searched the surrounding area, but came up empty-handed.

According to the clerk, a man entered the store with a black ski mask covering his face and white gloves on his hands. The suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a thin black male possibly in his 20's to 30’s and approximately 6 foot tall with shoulder length dreads. He was wearing black pants and a black long sleeve shirt. Photos of the suspect have been included.
