FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Fort Myers Police Department is searching for the suspects responsible for a drive-by shooting that injured two people near the intersection of SR-82 and Forum Boulevard around 1:15 this morning.

Cory Jackson was critically injured and taken to Gulf Coast Hospital. He is listed in stable condition. Javaris Murray suffered a non-life threatening injury and Brandan Conner, a third victim, was unharmed.

The victims were traveling westbound on SR-82 from Lehigh Acres when unknown suspects in a smoke gray, four-door sedan, possibly a Toyota, with dark tinted windows, opened fire on them.

The victims' vehicle was hit multiple times. They drove to the hospital for treatment.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene.

The victim’s vehicle was towed from the hospital to FMPD for forensic analysis.

The motive for this shooting in unknown at this time.
