KATY, Texas (AP) - A Florida man being sought for causing a drunken-driving wreck that killed a passenger has been apprehended while getting his trailer repaired in suburban Houston.

Authorities say 33-year-old Garrett Bruce was arrested without incident Wednesday in Katy. He'd been missing since last month when authorities say he removed an ankle monitor and fled Florida with his wife and two young boys, ages 7 and 5.

The Houston Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/1l1bZab ) he's facing a DUI manslaughter charge for causing the wreck in December 2012 in Tarpon Springs, Fla., northwest of Tampa. Bruce is accused of having twice the legal limit of alcohol when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole, killing his passenger.

He was being held without bond Thursday in the Fort Bend County jail awaiting extradition to Florida.
