FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission(FWC) workers transported a dead manatee from Centennial Park, according to our partners at the News-Press.

The carcass reportedly washed up behind someone's nearby home yesterday, and FWC workers towed it to shore. The animal was tied next to a dock last night.

Officials don't know how it died, but they will transport it to St. Petersburg for a necropsy.
