FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police detectives located and arrested Richard Nelson, 37, and Melissa Mann, 34, on Monday, at 5:05 p.m., for armed robberies that occurred to Dunkin Donuts and Family Dollar.

Police developed Nelson and Mann as suspects and were able to take them into custody without incident.

Nelson was charged with the armed robbery of the Dunkin Donuts, located at 4726 Cleveland Avenue, on February 1st, and the armed robbery of the Family Dollar, located at 4650 Cleveland Avenue, on February 2nd.

Mann was charged with the armed robbery that occurred at the Family Dollar on February 2nd.

“Since the first robbery occurred detectives and community policing coordinators have been working around the clock to identify, locate and arrest these brazen robbers”, said police spokesman Lieutenant Victor Medico.

During both robberies Nelson was armed with a knife and injured the store clerk during the robbery at Family Dollar. Both Nelson and Mann confessed to the crimes and remain in jail without bond.
