LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Crews will install bridge beams over I-75 that will be part of the direct connection to the Southwest Florida International Airport. The contractor will post detour signs to guide motorists. Emergency services will be able to travel through the closure if necessary.

· During nighttime/overnight hours from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, February 3 to Tuesday morning, February 4, crews will close I-75 southbound. During these hours, southbound I-75 motorists will exit at Daniels Parkway and travel east to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway/Treeline Avenue. Southbound motorists will re-enter the interstate at the Alico Road interchange.

· During nighttime/overnight hours from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday, February 4 to Wednesday morning, February 5, crews will close I-75 northbound and southbound. During these hours, northbound and southbound motorists must use Ben Hill Griffin Parkway/Treeline Avenue to travel between Alico Road and Daniels Parkway during this time. Southbound motorists will exit at Daniels Parkway and travel east to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway/Treeline Avenue. Southbound motorists will re-enter the interstate at the Alico Road interchange. Northbound motorists will exit at Alico Road and travel east to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway/Treeline Avenue. Northbound motorists will re-enter the interstate at the Daniels Parkway interchange.

· During nighttime/overnight hours from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Wednesday, February 5 to Thursday morning, February 6 and Thursday evening, February 6 to Friday morning, February 7, crews will close I-75 northbound. During these hours, northbound motorists must exit at Alico Road, and travel east to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway/Treeline Avenue. Northbound motorists will re-enter the interstate at the Daniels Parkway interchange.

The I-75 Airport Direct Connect project builds a direct connection from I-75 to Southwest Florida International Airport. The project builds new northbound lanes parallel to I-75 south of the Alico Road interchange and new southbound lanes parallel to I-75 south of the Daniels Parkway interchange. Crews also are constructing a bridge over I-75 and over Treeline Avenue/Ben Hill Griffin Parkway connecting the interstate to Terminal Access Road and the Midfield Terminal Complex. The project, which will cost $54.1 million, is expected to be completed in the spring 2015.
