FORT MYERS, Fla. - A Fort Myers man will spend the next several months behind bars, but not on the charges that brought him before a judge in the first place.

Bobby Lesane Jr., 29, was accused of not paying child support.  He walked into Hon. Bruce Kyle's courtroom free on bond, only to be dragged out by bailiffs minutes later.  WINK News has exclusively obtained video of the incident.

After Lesane's case management conference Wednesday morning, he was led to a chair while Kyle presides over the next case.  Courtroom surveillance cameras show Lesane taking something that looks like cash out of his pocket, and appearing to count the cash.

The real struggle began seconds later, when Lesane raised his hand to his mouth.

Bailiffs closed in, as court officials were heard repeatedly telling Lesane to "spit it out."

Deputies eventually wrestled Lesane to the floor and dragged him out of the court room.

Kyle called a brief recess before holding Lesane in contempt of court for 179 days.

Public records do not reveal what Lesane put in his mouth.

Lesane will return to court in March, but on cocaine-related charges.
