FORT MYERS, Fla -  A self proclaimed "Bitcoin" king from Cape Coral, will now be under house arrest.

Federal agents picked Robert Faiella up for his part in a million dollar Bitcoin drug conspiracy. Wednesday, a judge decided to release him.

Although the judge Wednesday said Faiella faces serious penalities for his crime, he allowed Faiealla to post bond. Robert Faiella's attorney tells us his client is in good spirits, happy to be sent home to Cape Coral. Now we weren't able to get Faiella on camera.  He must first go back to Charlotte Correctional facility and be released from there.

Faiella's wife declined to comment as she left the courthouse.

Faiella was in court for his part in allegedly selling Bitcoins to users who wanted to buy illegal drugs on the Silk Road website. Agents say he sold more than $1 million worth. In court, Faiella's attorney says his client lives off of medicaid and food stamps. He says the Cape Coral man suffers from a severe back injury and often borrows money from family members.

"Very happy he was released on bond and glad that he has the conditions that he has. Suffers from a lot of medical problems and he has handicaps of that nature," said Faiella's attorney David Braun.

As part of his release, Faiella can only travel in Lee County and New York to face charges. He must always be with his wife unless the court says otherwise. And he cannot have internet access whatsoever.
