Fort Myers, Fla. - The Lee County Sheriff's Office says one suspect has been arrested after a robbery at a local hotel. Initially, five people were taken into custody, but it was determined that four of them were not involved in the crime.

Lee County Deputies say the suspects stormed into the America's Best Value Inn located off of South Cleveland Avenue around 7:45 a.m.

Deputies say the suspects stole cash, cigarettes, and cell phones before taking off in a vehicle away from the scene and crashing their vehicle on Winkler

Road near Edgewater Circle.  LCSO says one of the suspects was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital after being bit by a K-9 Officer.
