FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting that sent three women to the hospital and left one of them dead.

On Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2:37 a.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to the intersection of Winkler Avenue and Shoemaker Boulevard reference a gunshots heard call. 

Police say an unknown vehicle pulled up alongside the victim’s vehicle and opened fire at the Winkler Avenue and Shoemaker Boulevard intersection. The victim’s vehicle was struck multiple times and immediately drove to Lee Memorial Hospital. The suspect’s vehicle drove off in an unknown direction. 

 While at the hospital medical personnel treated three females from the vehicle who suffered gunshot wounds. 17-year old Alexis S. Wilson died from her injuries. Two other females inside the vehicle were later released with non-life threatening injuries.

FMPD is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a person or persons responsible for any homicide in the City of Fort Myers. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
