LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A judge has overturned a Lee County woman's life sentence in one of the area's most notorious murders.

Ashley Toye will get a new sentencing hearing. She was originally sentenced to life in prison without the possibility for parole for her involvement in the 2006 Cash Feenz murders in Cape Coral.

Toye was 17 at the time of the murders. The appeals court said life in prison for a juvenile is cruel and unusual punishment.

Toye was convicted in 2007 for her role in the deaths of Alexis and Jeffery Sosa.

Prosecutors say she was involved in a gang called the Cash Feenz. They say she along with nine other people tortured and killed the Sosas during a party.
