SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, Fla. - A freeze watch has been upgraded to a freeze warning for inland areas of southwest Florida.

The areas projected to experience a freeze overnight by the National Weather Service are across Glades, Hendry, Hardee, Highlands, DeSoto, as well as inland Palm Beach, Charlotte, Manatee Sarasota and Collier Counties. Temperatures are forecast to fall into the lower 30s.

A freeze warning means temperatures of 32 degrees or lower are imminent or highly likely for any duration of time. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Bring animals and sensitive plants inside.
