COLLIER COUNTY, FL. - Despite the cold, farmers tell WINK News it's more of a gamble to cover the crops.

Not only is it expensive, but it can also scar and damage crops if the weather is too cold. But tonight, growers at Oakes Farms in Immokalee aren't too concerned. They say the wind will actually help them by preventing frost from forming. Farmers tell WINK News they are not expecting their crops to suffer any damage from the cold Thursday night or over the next few days.
