FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers Police Department arrested 23-year-old Roy Keefer Gordon for the robbery of Bank of America, located at Winkler Ave. at 9:43 a.m.

A follow up investigation by detectives and uniformed officers quickly led to 3721 Metro Parkway, Apartment 4106, where Gordon was apprehended. Detectives located items inside the vacant apartment linking Gordon to the crime.

Gordon is currently being interviewed by detectives and will be charged with robbery.

Police are investigating whether the robbery is connected to a robbery of that same bank last year.

Upon arrival today, police learned a black male dressed as a woman entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The robber got away on a bicycle with an unknown amount of cash. He remains at large.

In August, two men disguised as women robbed that bank. Police arrested one of the crooks, but never found the other one.
