LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A state attorney's investigator, suspected in a deadly Christmas morning hit and run, was not in court today for his arraignment, as it was postponed.

In that case, the suspect is not required to show up.

Charles Lawson pleaded not guilty to DUI.

His case is being re-assigned to Palm Beach County to avoid a conflict of interest with his current office.

Lawson is now suspended without pay, as the State Attorney's Office has found enough in their internal investigation to take away his pay.

Today's arraignment was continued until next month.
