LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A report of a suspicious package led to a precautionary Hazmat situation at two locations in the Fort Myers area this morning.

A woman, reportedly a Page Field Post Office employee, went to the Lee EMS station at Page Field with concerns about a package she had handled on the job.

According to Lee Memorial Hospital, the woman was brought in to be checked out. She was hosed down, along with two EMS workers who assisted her. Her clothes were taken and she was brought to a doctor to be check out.

EMS cannot speak on whether she presented them with any injuries or symptoms, but a spokesperson said the woman has been released from the hospital and the package she was concerned about is not a threat.
