NAPLES, Fla.- The Third Street South Farmer’s Market, a Naples favorite for strolling and shopping, is open every Saturday, year round. Most Saturdays, the open-air venue also features festive, live music. Beginning on Saturday, January 4, 2014, and continuing through the month of March, the Farmer’s Market will move right onto Third Street South––with vendors set up from Broad Avenue to 13th Street South. During this January through March season the Farmer’s Market will be open an extra half hour, from 7:30 AM until noon.
New vendors this season include: Calamondin Café, which sells brilliantly orange-colored cakes, jams, coulis and even salt all created from the tart citrus fruit Calamondin; Mr. Crab Cakes, whose uses his great-grandmother’s recipe to create cakes that are chock-full of fresh crabmeat and come with a signature mustard sauce; Wook’s Beef Jerky in such flavors as teriyaki, hickory, vegetarian, pepper and spicy Cajun; Cronuts, the hybrid croissant-donut that has taken the food world by storm; The Mustard Factory – gourmet local flavored mustards; Collier Family Farms, which received its Certified Organic designation from the USDA National Organic Program and offers membership programs so shoppers can get the most organic produce for less; Black Bee Coffee, which sources the best quality single origin un-roasted "green" coffee
beans from around the globe and roasts them in small batches for flavor and nuance; Chef Paul who will be cooking his prize winning Paella on the street in front of you to take home or eat right there; and Frozen Violet a new twist on flavored ice cream sandwiches.
Other market offerings include: locally produced fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs, jams, chocolates, cheeses, Florida grass fed beef, a variety of European & American baked goods, prepared foods, organic pet foods, shell oil lamps, Mediterranean foods as well as breads, pastas, soups, sauces, cakes, cookies, soaps, hand woven baskets, colorful Kenyan-weave totes much more.
