FORT MYERS, Fla. - Delays from winter weather up north continue to affect flights coming in and out of RSW.
Thursday night, the monitors showed delays from cities like Indianapolis, Boston, Baltimore and New York City. Some were affected by several hours. Others, like Bill and Nancy Lake from Boca Grande were stuck in airports since early Wednesday morning.
The weather also affected luggage. A Southwest Airlines flight from Chicago-Midway arrived, but for many passengers, their luggage did not. About 30 people stood in a long line at baggage claim.
A Spokesperson tells WINK News, it's a result of the snow and ice. Sometimes when flights are delayed or changed at the last minute, bags get lost. The airline is working to get that luggage where it needs to be.
