FORT MYERS, Fla. - Wicked winter weather continues to affect people going in and out of southwest Florida. Delays and cancellations are already showing up  for flights tomorrow. As of 10:00 p.m. Friday, a 7:05 a.m. Saturday flight to Washington-DCA is cancelled and an 8:00 a.m. flight to Atlanta is delayed.

We're learning, it's not just snow holding up passengers at RSW. There were computer delays and even Vice Presidential delays. Around 8:00 p.m. , there was a long line in front of the Air Canada desk. More than 100 passengers were forced to wait after they say the airline's computer system went down. Air Canada hasn't confirmed if this was related to all the flight changes from the weather.

Then, there were delays because of Air Force Two. Vice President Joe Biden has been here vacationing for a few days. His plane left around 7:00 p.m. But his departure put all other flights on hold, including one coming in from D.C.

A passenger tells WINK News they were first delayed by snow. Then, they got stuck in a holding pattern while waiting for the Vice President to take off, which delayed them another two hours. "It just took forever so we circled around and around for a good thirty minutes and were running out of fuel," Deborah Peterson of Cape Coral said. "Finally, they said that we need to go to West Palm Beach Airport."

You never know what you might be dealing with at the airport. It's important to keep checking flight times. You can find them at
