NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla.- An LCEC truck was involved in a fatal accident that blocked westbound Pine Island Road at U.S. 41 for some time overnight.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Donald Ray Boger has died from his injuries after the rollover crash that happened just before 12:30 a.m.

Boger was traveling east on Pine Island Rd. when, for unknown reasons, he lost control. The truck began to rotate counter clock-wise, traveled onto the grass median, collided with a traffic sign and a tree before rolling over and hitting a second tree. 

Boger was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Alcohol is not considered a factor.
