LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A Silver Airways plane carrying 35 people made an emergency landing at Southwest Florida International Airport after reports of smoke filling the cockpit.

The plane was on its way from Key West to Tampa, but was rerouted to RSW when it experienced an electronic problem. The plane landed safely at RSW at 8:53 a.m. Thursday.

American Airlines oversees Silver, and will be making accommodations for the passengers.
