FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - If you are tired of traffic jams and looking for a safe and easy way to get around Fort Myers Beach a local company says they've got you covered!
"Most people come down here they don't really know where to go so we get a feel for what they want to do and then we try to bring then to the right spot," said owner Tony Mastrianni.
It's called Fort Myers Beach Water Taxi and they're just a phone call away.
"We've gotten nothing but great reviews," Mastrianni said.
Now locals, snowbirds and tourists can hop aboard and take one of the floating ferries to local hot spots, restaurants and other attractions like Nervous Nellies.
"They were very pleased with it. With the service. We've seen them pick people up at our docks and drop people off," said restaurant manager Luke Hutchins.
Mastrianni says the shuttles also help keep people safe and prevents party goers from drinking and driving.
"If you park at the trolley stop we can bring you down to our terminal and put you on the boat. From there you can go wherever you need to go. You can do all your partying and we can get you back to trolley stop with no problems," he said.
Each boat is color coordinated to a specific route. By the end of the month they will have three boats and should be running five or six very soon.
