COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - A star outfielder for Los Angeles Dodgers was arrested Saturday morning on Alligator Alley on a reckless driving charge.
Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Greg Bueno tells WINK News Yasiel Puig was caught speeding in the westbound lanes near mile marker 99. He was taken into custody around 9:30 a.m. and was released a few hours later. Bueno said he was clocked at 110 mph in a 70 mph zone.
The 23-year-old was recently named Sportsman of the Year by the Los Angeles Daily News.
