CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A little girl's selfless letter to Santa, grabs the love and attention of Southwest Florida.
"Dear Santa, I am trying to be good this year. I want something for everybody but me."
Peyton Renz decided she didn't want anything for Christmas this year.
So the 7-year-old took her request to the big man himself: Santa.
She writes: I have everything I need. Buy for everyone else. please do that. I do not want anything, buy for my friends, not me.
When askd why she wrote the letter, she says, "I thought it would be kind of me."
She hopes Santa will buy for the kids that don't have anything at all.
Her family, proud of her message, sent the letter to WINK News.
"Incredibly proud. we try really hard to teach the kids that there are bigger things out there than themselves," said her father Dylan.
WINK News posted it on Facebook, and the response was overwhelming. More than 1500 hundred likes, and hundreds of shares.
"I think Santa is very very proud of her, think she's going to get a few things," said her mother Monica.
A little girl, with a big heart.
Her mother said, "This year she and her friend decided to purchase some Christmas presents for children that don't have anything. Little boy that we know that they went out and picked some gifts and spent some money to get this child some Christmas."
"Because he has a mom that works hard. She was having trouble getting presents, so i wanted to give some to him," said Peyton.
