COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- "As a born-again Christian, I want to make sure that I'm supporting those shows that come up on the air."

Laire Lightner started a petition to get a reality TV star his job back. Phil Robertson is now suspended from the hit A&E show, Duck Dynasty, because of his controversial comments in an interview with GQ Magazine. But Lightner said you often see Robertson's family express their religious beliefs on the show.

"The fact that the whole family sits around at the table and they pray before they eat their meals."

So far, her petition has received more than 114,000 signatures.

"My goal was a thousand and it just kind of exploded from there. And believe it or not there's actually homosexuals that have signed the petition that said even though we don't have the same values, we support freedom of speech."

Lightner said she isn't surprised by Robertson's opinions and thinks A&E shouldn't be either.

"The issue is when he signed a contract with A&E, they knew his values, they knew where he stood because Phil is very upfront, he was not going to compromise."

And she wants the network to apologize. So far, she hasn't heard from the network or the Robertson family.
