GOLDEN GATE ESTATES, Fla.- The victim found dead at a residence at 780 20th Ave. N.W. Thursday has been identified as 28-year-old Alberto Esquijarosa Jr.
Deputies responded to a call at the Golden Gate Estates residence around 4:15 p.m., and found Esquijarosa deceased inside the residence.
Detectives arrested 23-year-old Michael Lee Trissler in connection with Esquijarosa's death. They say Trissler went to Esquijarosa's place to buy drugs. He then took his car and drove to the Brittany Bay Apartments. Deputies arrested Trissler there.
While Trissler was in custody, he admitted to his father that he stole Esquijarosa's car and killed him.
Prior to learning about the murder, Trissler's parents reported him missing to the Collier County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say he left what appeared to be a suicide note and took his fathers revolver.
Trissler faces charges of Second Degree Murder and Escape. He's being held in the Collier County jail on no bond.
