COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Congressman Trey Radel has completed his rehabilitation at a treatment facility in Naples, after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor cocaine possession charge in November.

In a news conference held at his Cape Coral office this evening, Radel said he would not be resigning from Congress.

Radel entered Hazelden nearly a month ago.

"I've hit a bottom where I realize I need help," Radel told a judge in November, when he acknowledged that he purchased 3.5 grams of cocaine from an undercover police officer.

Radel pled guilty to the charge in Washington, D.C., and was sentenced to one year of probation.

Rep. Trey Radel is a former WINK-TV news anchor and conservative talk show host on 92.5 Fox News Radio in Fort Myers.
