FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police are searching for the suspects accused of holding a woman at gunpoint and stealing her purse and vehicle Thursday night.

Just after 11:00 p.m., the victim arrived at the Brittany Apartments on Winkler Ave.

Upon arrival, three men, wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black pants approached her. One of the men held onto her while one of the others took her purse. The men took her keys and got into her vehicle. She was about to run, when one of the men jumped out of the back seat, pointed a small black hand gun at her and told her he would shoot her if she ran.

After they drove away, she ran into her apartment and called the police.

The victim described the men as being between 20 and 25 years of age, standing 5'5 to 5'8, and having thin builds.

On Monday morning, police recovered the vehicle at Rock Lake Motel.

The investigation continues.
