COLLIER COUNTY, Fla - The Naples community is coming together to help struggling families in Collier County this holiday season. Strangers are giving gifts to those most in need this Christmas.

Times are tough for Yessica Beltran and her three kids. "Right now we're having a difficult time with money and can't buy toys for them right now."

But this Christmas, her children will have presents under their tree thanks to Legal Aid of Collier County. All year long, the non-profit provides free legal services to the poor and every Christmas since 2007 they've found generous donors to buy presents for their clients kids.

"It's wonderful. These kids are so poor they can't afford wrapping paper, so it really puts it in perspective because most of us are lawyers, we have good jobs. We're able to provide for our families," says Tamara Nicola, President of the Collier County Bar Association.

This year members of the Bar Foundation sponsored 33 children. "It's hard to see a family that is struggling and is without the means to even purchase the tape to wrap the presents let alone the presents themselves," says Nicola.

In all, more than 150 kids filled out a wish list. After meeting with Santa they picked their gifts. From bikes to toys it's a Christmas that is sure to bring happiness.

"Just seeing the joy on those kids faces makes it all worth while. It's a thrill and an honor to be able to do it every year," says Jeff Ahren with Legal Aid Services of Collier County.

Beltran says, "it means a lot to me because they're happy to receive these gifts. They have an opportunity to play."
