COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - American flags like Nottingham Drive, leading you to the new home of a wounded warrior. On Saturday, Army Sergeant Brent Hernandez and his family will receive a heroes homecoming. The family knows this will be their home. After visiting other Florida cities, they decided on Naples and a home inside Victoria Park. But what they don't know is how much work is being put into it. Building Homes for Heroes and crews from Manhattan Construction have made special changes for the injured veteran. The Hernandez's new neighbors made sure to fill it with love, and of course, Christmas decorations.
"In this neighborhood, community is always important. "
"It makes me feel good of course but what I do see again the area in community of Victoria Park, it's a great place to live."
"We're just so honored that someone who served in Afghanistan is actually moving into our neighborhood and we're glad they can join us."
The homecoming takes place Saturday morning at 10:30.
