LEE COUNT, Fla.- The grand theft charge against former Lee County Commissioner Brian Bigelow have been dropped.

According to our partners at the News-Press, the State Attorney's Office dropped the charge because of lack of evidence. It stemmed from a November arrest when Lee County Sheriff's deputies said Bigelow was driving the getaway car, after another man robbed a Kmart on McGregor Boulevard.

November's arrest was the third for the year for the former commissioner. Bigelow was arrested in January for cocaine possession.
