LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The Lee County Sheriff's Office arrested a Miami man yesterday, after a traffic stop over suspicion of illegal window tint, when a detective discovered $5,000 worth of drugs hidden in the door panel.

Around noon yesterday a detective with the Lee County Sheriff's Office Highway Interdiction Unit conducted the traffic stop on the Nissan Frontier on I-75. The vehicle was pulled over near mile marker 125 for what appeared to be illegal window tint. The detective made contact with the driver, identified as 36-year-old Raymond Lecorps of Miami. Immediately the detective noticed a smell of marijuana and also found a tampered door panel. Inside the driver's side door a large plastic bag with 6.7 ounces of methamphetamine (MDMA) was allegedly found. The street value of the "Mollie" is estimated at more than $5,000, according to LCSO.

Lecorps, a registered felon, has been charged with possession of the MDMA and marijuana, plus violation of probation and driving on a suspended license with knowledge. He remains in custody at the Lee County jail at this time.
