CONCH KEY, Fla. (AP) - The main highway through the Florida Keys has reopened after three tractor-trailers crashed near Marathon.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office reports that the crash happened at 2:37 a.m. Tuesday near mile marker 63. Several people were injured in the crash.
According to the sheriff's office, one person was airlifted to a hospital in Miami after being trapped inside one of the trucks.
Emergency crews were cleaning up an oil spill and working to move the trucks from the highway.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the northbound lane reopened late Tuesday morning, with traffic alternating directions.
