MIAMI (AP) - The driver in a deadly tour bus crash at Miami International Airport faces criminal charges.
CBS Miami ( ) reports that authorities arrested Ramon Ferreiro Wednesday and charged him with three counts of vehicular manslaughter.
His arrest comes nearly a year after the crash that killed three people.
Police say Ferreiro was driving a Jehovah's Witnesses group to a Palm Beach religious conference last December when he got lost and entered the airport. He attempted to enter the lower concourse, but the bus was too tall and plowed into an overpass. Thirty-one passengers were transported to local hospitals for injuries.
Police say Ferreiro was speeding and ignored posted signs, resulting in an accident that could have been avoided. Ferreiro is free on bond.
