LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday morning at the intersection of Treeline Ave. and Terminal Access Rd., near the Southwest Florida International Airport.

A witness at the scene said the motorcyclist tried to stop too quickly at the traffic light as it changed to red. The witness also said the tires on the motorcycle were bald, which caused the bike to slide and crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol and the Lee County Sheriff's Office set up a road block while the scene was cleared. The road has since been reopened.

The victim was taken to the hospital. No other vehicles were  involved.
