DELAND, Fla. (AP) - A man who authorities say confessed to killing his wife has entered a not guilty plea.
In a Deland courtroom Thursday, a shackled Luis Toledo's appeared on second-degree murder and domestic battery charges in the death of his wife, Yessienia Suarez.
The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://www.ittybittyurl.com/2C15) reports Suarez's mother, Felicita Perez, says she met with Toledo at the jail Thursday and he told her the death was an accident.
Authorities are still searching Volusia and Seminole counties for the bodies of Suarez and her two children, 8-year-old Michael Otto and 9-year-old Thalia Otto. The three went missing Oct. 23 following a fight with Toledo.
Authorities say Toledo told them he used his martial arts skills to kill Suarez, but he has implicated someone else in the deaths of the children.
