LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Two Fort Myers teens took to the streets of Lehigh Acres on Thursday in a stolen car, looking to break into homes, Lee county Sheriff's deputies tell WINK News. 18 year old Christian Aranda and a 16 year old attempted to break into two homes but found the homeowners inside. They did break into one home where the pair allegedly shot and killed the family's dog, a 10 year old boxer. The home owner from one of the failed robberies was able to get their license plate from their car and dialed 9-1-1 with the information. Deputies soon caught up with the duo and a short chase ensued. The teens crashed into another motorist on Leeland Heights Boulevard before smashing into a fence and abandoning the car. Deputies caught the teens after a short foot chase. The woman and her child who were involved in the accident were not injured.
