NAPLES, Fla - Dozens of filmmakers from across the country are in Southwest Florida this weekend for the fifth annual Naples International Film Festival.

The festival features dozens of short films, narratives, and documentaries. This years closing film Sunday evening is The Girl From Nagasaki.

Making its North American premiere, the story begins with the first Atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and is based on the opera Puccini which was written out of Nagasaki.

"I think this particular film touches most human aspects," says Director and Producer Michel Comte. "It touches all our fears and also touches hope and it touches deception in the most cruel way."

Comte says his wife had a huge influence on the film.
