CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Official election results revealed John Sullivan will no longer be Cape Coral's mayor.

Final numbers from Tuesday's election were posted at City Hall Friday, showing Marni Sawicki beat Sullivan by 121 votes.

Sullivan told WINK News on Thursday that he would consider asking for a re-count after the final results were released.  According to Lee County elections officials, they have not heard from Sullivan.

Since Sullivan lost the vote by more than .5 percent, he will have to appeal through the Circuit Court and pay for the recount himself.  He has until Nov. 18 to do so.

Sullivan was not in his office when WINK visited on Friday.  His secretary said she had not seen him.  Mayor-elect Sawkici, however, was there.

"I'm hoping that we can put it behind us and that we can just go ahead and move forward," Sawicki said. "I think we have a lot of pressing things right now, facing the city."

Our phone messages to Sullivan were also not returned on Friday.
