ESTERO, Fla.- An FGCU student accused of raping two women and beating up a third is apologizing.
WINK News has obtained copies of two apology letters written by Joshua Sekulic, 21, to two of his accusers.
Sekulic was arrested on Monday and charged with sexual assault and battery.
One letter was for a woman police say Sekulic forcibly had sex with on Oct. 24 after she invited him into her home.
The letter reads:
"On the night of October 24, you invited me over; I took that as a sign that you wanted to have sex. I am sorry for making that assumption. What transpired that night was a mistake. I did not mean to force anything on you or make you do anything you did not want to do. You are a great person and I am sorry for those events and a truely (sic) do wish you the best. Once again, am sorry for the events that transpired and I hope this apology helps you somewhat. And I wish you the best."
A second letter to a victim who police say Sekulic forced into oral sex on Oct. 30 reads:
"I am sorry about the events that happened on the 30th of October I was under the impression you wanted too (sic) have sex. I did not think that you wanted me to stop and I kept going. For that I am sorry and I wish you the best and I hope everything is OK."
According to police, a third victim escaped from Sekulic on Oct. 28 when he allegedly pinned her down and bit her. The courts did not have a letter for that victim.
