CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Monday morning the city of Cape Coral will begin a road paving project more than 40 years in the making.
At 9:30 a.m., work will start on roads in the Freedom Acres area. City Council members will be joined by City Manager John Szerlag and City staff on location at the intersection of NW 26th Terrace and NW 31st Place.
According to the city, the local roads in Freedom Acres are some of the worst residential streets in Cape Coral and have never been paved. Prep work is starting this week, and asphalt application should start sometime next week.
