LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) will be relocating a 12" water main that runs parallel to Parkdale Blvd., on Wednesday, November 6th, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

To complete this process it will be necessary to interrupt the water service for a few hours between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The Woodridge Preserve Community and customers along Parkdale Boulevard between State Road 82 and Bennington Drive will be affected.

As a precaution upon return of service, we are recommending that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, washing dishes, or brushing teeth be boiled.

A rolling boil of at least one minute prior to consuming is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. The water is safe for non-consumptive uses.

This boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink, at which point the boil water notice will be rescinded. This testing normally takes 2-3 days to complete.

For additional information, FGUA customers may contact the FGUA Lehigh Acres Customer Service Office at (239) 368-1615 or visit the FGUA web site at www.fgua.com.
