FORT MYERS, Fla. - Tracy Perkins, the principal of Cypress Lake High School says she is hoping the melee that ensued on the field last Friday during a game with Mariner High School will soon fade from memory. A number of football players disagreed with a call a referee made and according to a report released by the Florida High School Athletic Association, spewing verbal insults and racial slurs. 27 students were suspened from the sports program for the incident and the school will have to pay more than 38 hundred dollars in fines. Perkins says the head coach, Dale More will not get his coaching position back, but will continue at the school as an educator.
