CAPE CORAKL, Fla.- A Cape Coral woman celebrated her 104th birthday surrounded by family and friends today.

Frances Miller, who has lived at Gulf Coast Village for 15 years, was born in Quincy, Mass. In 1909. She studied at Columbia University in New York, where she earned a Master's Degree in Education. As a teacher, Miller said Psychology was her favorite subject.

"You get to know people better," Miller said.

Miller's proudest achievement came six years into her teaching career.

"I raised my family," she said.

Miller is a mother of two, a grandmother of two and a friend to many.

"(Miller) is the most pleasant lady I've ever worked for. She's never cross. She's very patient," said Terri Amico, Miller's primary caregiver. "She is my reason to get up every day."

"She thinks about all the things I think about," Miller said of Amico.

Miller said she is happy, but her true secret to staying young is three small glasses of white wine every evening because it relaxes her.
