LEE COUNTY, FL - 2 women who claim they were sexually abused while being treated at Park Royal hospital in Fort Myers, have filed suit. Attorney Dennis Webb filed the lawsuit in a Lee County court on Wednesday. It alleges that Benjamin Bland, who was arrested in September on 7 counts of having sex with a mental patient, was a nursing technician at the hospital and attacked the women. 5 women initially came forward and described the incidents to Lee County Sheriff's detectives. Attorney Webb says the hospital did not adequately protect his clients during their care. The patients, identified only as Mary and Jane Doe, are seeking "in excess" of 15 thousand dollars according to the suit. Webb says he expects more victims to come forward. Benjamin Bland remains behind bars on a 125 thousand dollar bond.
