FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Fort Myers Police Department conducted a lawful search warrant at 6226 Demery Circle Monday night, that resulted in one arrest and the seizure of drugs, paraphernalia and more than $2,000.
The warrant was the result of a four-month investigation of multiple subjects selling cocaine and heroin from the residence.
Police arrested Edricka Leshaye Cook, 25, for trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in heroin. Upon execution of the warrant, three suspects fled the house to the security of another residence and were not apprehended.
Police seized the following items:
-524 grams of cocaine Hcl, or a little more than a half of a kilogram. The estimated street value is $18,000.
-45 grams of heroin or 1 ½ ounce. The estimated street value is $4,500.
-$2,056 which is believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
-Numerous items of drug paraphernalia to include digital scales, packaging materials and drug cutting equipment.
-Multiple surveillance cameras that were in operation during the search warrant. The cameras and video monitors were in place around the house to warn the suspects of police presence.
In the coming weeks, detectives will be arresting several more suspects for sale of cocaine.
