MARCO ISLAND, Fla.- Emergency crews rescued six people from the water near Caxambas Pass Sunday evening, after their boat capsized.

Marco Island Fire Rescue located the four adults and two children approximately 17 miles south of Caxambas Pass. Two victims were ill due to ingestion of salt water. All victims were transported to Caxambas Park Marine, where they received medical evaluation. All refused transport to the hospital.

Collier County Sheriff’s Department and Ochopee Fire Department provided assistance.
