(FORT MYERS, Fla.)--One man is dead, and a woman is in the hospital with major burns after a bad car crash ended in a fire overnight. The Cape Coral Fire Department says the crash happened around 12:30 at the corner of Rose Garden Drive and SW 6th place in Cape Coral. The car hit a tree and burst into flames. The fire department says someone saw the car on fire and called the police. Bystanders helped the woman get out of the car. Cape Coral Police have identified the woman as 28 yr old Susan Reynolds of Lehigh Acres.  Police say Reynolds was taken to a Tampa Hospital suffering from severe burns to over  65 percent of her body.  The driver could not escape from the car and died on scene. The driver's identity is not yet known.  The crash is still under investigation, but officials say speed may have played a role.
